    Terms & Conditions – Panglima Resort Bum Bum Island, Semporna

    These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations, stays, and services provided by Panglima Resort Bum Bum Island, Semporna (“the Resort”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By making a reservation or staying at the Resort, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

    1. Check-In & Check-Out Policy

    • Standard Check-in Time: 2:00 PM (1400 hours)

    • Standard Check-out Time: 12:00 PM (1200 hours)

    • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

    2. Smart Saver Cancellation Policy

    Unless otherwise stated in your Reservation Confirmation:

    • Free Cancellation: Up to 14 days before check-in

    • Late Cancellation: Within 14 days before check-in, 50% of total booking amount will be charged

    • No-Show: 100% of total booking amount will be charged

    If a specific reservation policy is mentioned in your confirmation, that policy shall prevail.

    3. Payment Terms & Policy

    • A pre-authorization or full payment may be taken prior to or upon arrival for the total stay.

    • Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, online payment gateways, bank transfer, or deposit.

    • All applicable taxes will be charged based on prevailing regulations at the time of booking.

    • Guests must present a valid government-issued photo identification at check-in (MyKad, Driver’s Licence, or Passport).

    • The Resort reserves the right to refuse check-in if valid identification is not provided.

    4. Stay Extension & Rates

    • Any extension of stay is subject to availability and current prevailing rates at the time of request.

    • The Resort is not obligated to honor expired promotional or discounted rates for extensions.

    5. Special Offers & Non-Refundable Rates

    • Certain promotional or privileged rates are non-cancellable, non-refundable, and non-amendable.

    • Guests are advised to review room descriptions and conditions carefully before booking.

    • No refunds or changes will be granted for bookings made under such special rates.

    6. Refund Policy

    • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used.

    • Refund processing may take 10–15 business days, subject to banking procedures.

    • 7. Children Policy

      • Children aged 5 years and below: Stay free (cribs subject to availability)

      • Children aged 6 years and above: Charged at extra adult rate

      8. Guest Conduct & Resort Rules

      • No parties, gatherings, or additional occupants are allowed without prior approval.

      • Reservations are non-transferable.

      • Guests must adhere to all health, safety, security, and hygiene regulations.

      • The Resort reserves the right to remove guests for misconduct, safety concerns, or violation of Resort rules.

      9. Food & Beverages

      • Outside food and beverages are not permitted within the Resort.

      • The Resort is not responsible for the shelf life of food taken away or consumed outside the premises.

      10. Property, Assets & Liability

      • Guests are responsible for maintaining the Resort’s property and facilities.

      • Any damage to Resort assets (movable or immovable) may result in repair or replacement charges.

      • The Resort is not liable for lost, stolen, or misplaced personal belongings.

      • 11. Lost & Found

        • Lost items are securely stored for up to three (3) months.

        • Perishable items are discarded at the end of the business day.

        • Guests may collect claimed items with valid identification or request postage at their own expense.

        12. Parking & Transport Disclaimer

        • Parking areas are unsupervised, and the Resort is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or valuables.

        • Transport services (including transfers to Semporna Jetty) are provided as ancillary services. The Resort is not liable for incidents during transit.

        13. Force Majeure

        The Resort shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, losses, or damages caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, strikes, technical failures, or acts of God.

      • 14. General Provisions

        • The Resort may cancel a reservation if information provided is false or incomplete.

        • The Resort reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

        • Continued use of the Resort’s services constitutes acceptance of the latest Terms & Conditions.

        • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Malaysian law.
